Using Map 3D 2010 with Oracle? Better use 10G client!
Hi All, here’s one that stumped me (I should have read the documentation!).
If you want to connect AutoCAD Map 3D 2010 to Oracle with FDO, remember to use the 10G client and not the 9i one. Even if you are connecting to a 9i database.
That one stumped me for a while.

hi..
i want to ask you one question.
did you know how to link Oracle database with Autodesk Map 3D?

Certainly. I do this all the time. You can use FDO (either the Autodesk one or the SL KING).

Sure,

just create a new datastore – log into oracle
Create a new datastore – with coordainte system and extents
Then save it, do not bother adding tables and features yet
Then drag and drop your data (i.e. SHP files into AutoCAD Map) and then Bulk Copy into Oracle
